המרווח שבין משיכות המכחול
נולדתי וגדלתי בארצות הברית להורים ישראלים, אך היה זה המקור, הנשמה של ישראל, שקראה לי באמת. לפני למעלה מ-30 שנה עניתי לקריאה הזו – החלפתי את שורשיי האמריקאיים בסנדלים, בשמש, חומוס, ובאנרגיית ה"הכל סבבה" של ארץ ישראל. כיום אני חיה ועובדת בעולם האינטנסיבי של ההייטק הישראלי, ומנווטת בין דרישות יומיומיות של מפות דרכים (roadmaps) ויעדים מדידים.
אך בעוד ימיי מונעים מתוך מבנה וסדר, הרוח שלי נושמת דרך קצה המכחול.
עבורי, האמנות היא מרד מדיטטיבי נגד הרעש של החיים המודרניים. אני מתרגלת סומי-אה (Sumi-e), מסורת יפנית של ציור בדיו המשקפת את פילוסופיית החיים שלי: שמה שלא נאמר, הוא לעיתים קרובות עוצמתי יותר ממה שנאמר. בתוך ה"מא" (Ma – המרווח הריק המכוון) שביצירותיי, אני מוצאת את השקט שהקריירה בעולם הטכנולוגי אינה יכולה לספק.
הציורים שלי – ציפורים, פרחים ועצים – אינם רק דימויים; הם "גלויות" מתוך מסע של גילוי עצמי ומחווה לאלוהות שנמצאת בתוך הארעי. כל משיכת מכחול היא שיעור באיפוק ותזכורת למצוא יופי ברגעים החולפים שבין ה"ספרינטים". חלק מיצירותיי האישיות ביותר נולדו מתוך הדים של אלו שהלכו לעולמם, ומשמשות כגשר בין הזיכרון לרגע ההווה – תקשורת חזותית מן הנשמה.
I was born and raised in the United States to Israeli parents, but it was the soul of Israel that truly called to me. Over 30 years ago, I followed that call—trading my American roots for the sandals, hummus, sun, and the "hakol sababa" energy of Israel. Today, I live and work in the fast-paced world of Israeli high-tech, navigating the daily demands of product roadmaps and measurable deliveries.
But while my days are driven by structure, my spirit breathes through the tip of a brush.
For me, art is a meditative rebellion against the noise of modern life. I practice Sumi-e, a Japanese ink-wash tradition that mirrors my life’s philosophy: that what is not said is often more powerful than what is. In the "Ma" (the intentional blank space) of my work, I find the stillness that a high-tech career cannot provide.
My paintings of birds, flowers, and trees aren't just images; they are "postcards" from a lifelong journey of self-discovery and a tribute to the divinity found in the transient. Each stroke is a lesson in restraint and a reminder to find beauty in the fleeting moments between the sprints. Some of my most personal works are inspired by the echoes of those who have passed, serving as a bridge between memory and the present moment—a visual communication from the soul.
